			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>John Ghader, who had been seconded to the Tenant Services Authority from his role as Assistant Director at Bradford Council, has joined PDW as Director of Housing &amp; Regulatory Services.</p>
<p>As Director, John will be focusing on growing PDW&#8217;s range of Housing and Regulation services to support Registered Providers across the RSL and Local Authority sectors to meet future challenges &#8211; not least, the HCA&#8217;s revised Economic and Consumer Regulation Standards. The range of services will include, strategy &amp; policy development, business planning, performance management, strategic and operational service reviews, governance, risk management, value for money and resident involvement and scrutiny.</p>

<p>Patricia has spent 20 years working in development, housing and regeneration in the public and independent sectors; she has a very wide range of experience of development and regeneration initiatives with social landlords, local authorities, developers and government bodies.  Patricia has particular experience of project and programme management, project appraisals, funding bids, development option appraisals, financial modelling and control, development procedure and audit control, and extra care and special needs housing.</p>
<p>Patricia’s first degree was in planning, she is a qualified surveyor and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Housing.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>PDW would like to welcome Jean Bray as an Associate Consultant.</p>
<p>Jean is highly experienced in extra care housing and sheltered housing management gained at one of the UK’s largest housing and care organisations for older people, where she directed and controlled services to over 75 sheltered schemes providing 2,400 units of accommodation, with operational budgets in excess of £2.5m.</p>
<p>From March 2003 to April 2004 Jean led a national project team to implement and manage the new Supporting People regime as it was introduced.</p>
<p>Working as an Associate Consultant since April 2004, Jeans portfolio has included project managing successful bids for funding from the DH Extra Care Grant for Bolton and Cumbria CC as well as acting as a critical friend on two other successful bids.  Other assignments have included interim management of sheltered and supported housing, the development of an older people&#8217;s housing strategy, design and development support for extra care housing  and more recently working on both supporting people and telecare tenders.</p>
<p>Jean is currently the joint North West regional lead for the Housing LIN.</p>
